Anne ThanudchangAnne Thanudchang was born in 1978 in Canberra and moved to Sydney in 1997. She is the eldest of two children and has a tremendous relationship with her brother and parents.

After finishing high school, Anne earned a Master of Engineering Management, Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (majoring in telecommunications), Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, Diploma of Engineering Practice, and Diploma of Financial Services majoring in Finance/Mortgage Broking Management).

She began her career as an environmental engineering officer at Transgrid before being appointed to the United Nations in New York. At the UN, Anne was responsible for implementing the change management website, coordinating press releases for country offices worldwide, and training staff in the maintenance of the site. Her next appointment was with the Tai Wisdom Association in Thailand, where she worked as the webmaster and network engineer. In 2002, Anne was appointed lecturer at the Kent Institute of Business and Information Technology in Sydney, where she taught web programming, systems analysis and design, and project management.

The following year, Anne set up Propex Pty Ltd, a finance company providing private lending based on caveats and second mortgages. It has since expanded to mortgage broking and continues to explore new markets. Ten per cent of Propex’s gross income through mortgage broking is donated to the Salvation Army Home Loan Shelter Appeal.

In 2006, Anne founded The Skin Foundation to fund the provision of herbal and traditional remedies for those who cannot afford them. She is a founding member of the City of Sydney Lions Club, which is devoted to improving the lives of street youth (especially in Woolloomooloo), and was elected treasurer of the CBD Red Cross Club.

Anne spends her spare time training for the ski season and enjoys playing volleyball, table tennis and badminton.
