• Lesson 9 Objective:  Apply concepts and formulas of volume to design a sculpture using rectangular prisms within given parameters.

• Lesson 10 Objective:  Find the area of rectangles with whole-by-mixed and whole-by-fractional number side lengths by tiling, record by drawing, and relate to fraction multiplication. 
• Lesson 11 Objective:  Find the area of rectangles with mixed-by-mixed and fraction-by-fraction side lengths by tiling, record by drawing, and relate to fraction multiplication.
• Lesson 12 Objective:  Measure to find the area of rectangles with fractional side lengths. 
• Lesson 13 Objective:  Multiply mixed number factors, and relate to the distributive property and area model.

Winterhaven Food Forest
• Botanists- Plant assignments given to garden team members of food forest or native garden. Focus: plant needs (light, heat, moisture, shade, ground cover and soil pH) for blueberries, huckleberries, salalberries, sword ferns, Oregon grape.

Please donate a plant to our Food Forest or Native Bird and Bug Garden.
Some Plants we need: sword ferns, Oregon grape, salal, huckleberry, blueberry. Ask your fifth grader for a garden tour.
