Can Your Name be Searched through Google?
One of the things that you need to do if you’re in business is you need to own the real estate for your name. If someone Googles you right now, what do they actually find? Can they find you or do you not even exist. Now even if you have a website, maybe you have one position in the search engine. What you ultimately want to do, is you want to hold multiple positions within the search engines if someone Googles your name, which is happening right now.
Strive to Make Your Web Assets at the Top List of Google
If you book a meeting with someone pretty much guaranteed they’re going to be Googling you first and checking you out. Can they actually find you? If they can’t find a website on you, then what does that say? And if they can find a website do they have to troll through lots of other people with the same name or is it very easy to find because it’s right at the top. Ideally you have three, four, five, six, maybe even ten different webs assets that are all are under your name.
Set a Website for Yourself using About.Me
One of the fastest and easiest ways to basically add another website when someone searches for your name is to use a product which is called About.Me. That’s the name of the product and it’s also the name of the website as well. You go to About.Me and you’ll be able to find that there. This is the easiest way that I have found for you to set up a website for yourself and have it published on the web within under ten minutes. Sounds too good to be true. Well it’s not and I’m not going to do it right now, but I want to show you one that I prepared earlier.
Sign-up for an Account using Your Personal Email or Your Social Media Account
That’s the website that you actually go to. What you do is you basically go and you create your own website. It’s very simple and easy to do. You will then own a page on About.Me. For example mine is about.me/DaleBeaumont. Okay and you can go and check it out if you want to. You can either sign up by just putting your name and email address or you can sign in on twitter or on Facebook and make it nice and easy.
Let About.Me be Your Brand Ambassador
This is the end product. What you end up with which is a beautiful looking website that promotes you as a person or as a brand and you see a nice gorgeous photo and you also see a bio. You have links to all of your social media assets and also you can choose people’s primary course of action. When people find this page what do you want them to do? Do you want them to sign up to your newsletter? To maybe buy your book, to check out your LinkedIn page, to view your photo gallery. Ultimately it comes down to what your business and what you are selling and this is a way that people can get to know you.
The Website is Responsive so it’s Accessible to All Gadgets
The great thing about these websites as well is they’re all responsive, which means they work across any device and they’re already instantly responsive, meaning you don’t have to do any of the programming, they work on phones, on tablets, on televisions like this and they look nice and beautiful. What’s great about these is I’ve seen over the last few months there ranking really well within the search engines. So, it’s a great way to be able to own another piece of real estate for your name and like I said before to try and hold as many positions as you can on the first page of Google.

You can Sync Your Profile to Your Social Media Assets
The other thing that I was saying before which is really cool is this website effectively becomes a hub and can link to your other social media assets. As you can see here you can link it to Pinterest and Facebook and LinkedIn and YouTube and Google+. You can submit it to Instagram as well and basically it’s a great way for people to connect with you.
