If you regularly use social media to reach your audience, one of the things you’ll notice is every platform has different image requirements. Whether that be Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest or YouTube.
And if you don’t crop your images in advance, they will crop them for you. That is why it’s best to optimise images for social media to make it more eye-catching for your audience.
So I’ve sourced the web and found a free image resizer by PROMO. This tool makes it easier for you to resize your social media images and edit them in less than a minute.

Hey there, it’s Dale Beaumont here. And in this video, I want to share with you an awesome tool that is going to save you a lot of time when it comes to sharing content via different social media channels, whether that be Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, whatever platform.
You see, the problem with all of these platforms when you’re sharing content, especially sharing images is they all have different sizes, all have different dimensions. And if you don’t crop your images in advance, they will crop them for you. And oftentimes. it might chop off your face or chop off your book or whenever you’re trying to promote.
So there’s this awesome tool right now, that is by a company called Promo. And if you go to the link that’s in the description of this video. you’ll be able to navigate to this particular page. And you’ll be able to use this tool to resize all of your images in like, under 30 seconds. It’s really, really awesome, and it’s free! So you should definitely check it out. So what I’m gonna do now is a little live demo and show you very quickly how to use this particular tool. So let’s take a look.
So here we are on the page, it is called Promo Image Resizer. So you can do a Google search for that’ll or see the link below. And what you’re then going to do is you’re then going to basically drop and drag in your image right here, or if it’s on your computer, what you’re going to do is grab that particular image. Which I’ve just done, wait a few seconds for it to upload. And so it’s now doing its thing.
And then if I want to resize that, to a particular width or height, I can do that just over here. Or what I’m going to do is I’m just going to scroll a bit further down. And this is where you can start to see all the different, basically, types of places that this image can go. And remember, they all have different sizes, they all have different dimensions. So this software has done all the hard work for you by helping you to resize the images automatically. But they oftentimes require a little bit of adjusting to make sure that you put your subject, that could be yourself personally or your product or service, in the right place.
So let’s have a quick look here at the Facebook one. So this one here is ok. But it’s sort of just chopped off my head there. So what I want to do is click over here on edit. And then what I can then do is I can then move myself just over a little bit. So I’m in the right place. So that one is now done. I can go down here to this one here for a Facebook cover, getting chopped off a little bit of my head. So I’m just going to move down and do that one like so. Once I’ve done I can click that particular box and that will kind of lock it in.
And then the same thing with regards to Instagram as well. Going to go over here, just move myself across. And I can do that for all the different posts. So it literally takes about 30 seconds to go through and say “Am I in the right position?” Or “is my product displayed in the frame? ” And if the answer is yes, you can leave it If not, you can move it and adjust it.
And then once you’re actually finished, you can click download and what it will do is it’ll download now, all the different versions of that image customised for every single social media platform. So there’s Facebook, there’s Instagram. there’s Twitter. there is a YouTube if you’re creating thumbnails for YouTube videos, for example. Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, and a couple of others as well.
So this is just a really handy tool. If you are using any type of images on social media. It just makes it really fast and easy to resize those images with the right dimensions and the right quality.
